Corked Wine Bar is hosting our 6th virtual wine tasting! Sign up for this great event and have Corked deliver a bottle of the first vintage ever of the 2018 Carbone, Cabernet Sauvignon. Not only will you get the bottle of wine, but Corked will be sending a gourmet cheese and a meat to pair with this incredible bottle. On November 10th at 7pm, join us via Zoom. We will walk through this tasting with the Corked Owners (WSET Certified) and Wine Maker/Viticulturist/Owners Andy Erickson & Annie Favia. As many may know this amazing duo has a long-standing history Napa few can match. From Annie’s 12 plus years as a renowned viticulturist, to Andy’s status as winemaker at Screaming Eagle, Ovid and now Favia, this pair is not to be missed. Since they bought the original Carbone property in 2003 they have put Coombsville wines on the map and world stage. We do not have enough room for all the accolades, but can simply say do not miss a chance to spend time with this incredible pair.
The first vintage to say Cabernet Sauvignon on the label, this wine is not only a nod to the past, but keeps an eye on the future of continuing the amazon story of Favia wines. The grapes are sourced from the family’s favorite vineyards in both Coombsville and Oakville, vineyard blocks that Favia has worked with for many years. The blend of grapes gives the wine a richness, depth and spice with a core of black fruits, cassis and structure and secondary layers of licorice, Asian spice and dried white flowers. Aged for 16 months in French Oak barrels and bottled without fining and filtration, this wine is a fantastic representation of the wine that Favia produces
